Leadership Team: Les Yetton

Les Yetton
Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development

As Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development, Les Yetton brings over two decades of management and leadership experience in successfully building technology companies. Yetton joined Desktone from Microsoft, where he served as a Director of Business Development in the Windows Management and Solutions Division, following Microsoft's acquisition of Softricity in July 2006.

Recruited to Softricity in 2000, Yetton was part of a new management team that was challenged with re-positioning the company into the enterprise market. Yetton helped re-structure the company, recruited key management team members, headed Softricity's global sales and business development effort by building a team from the ground up and secured the first customers while meeting sales targets for 14 consecutive quarters. As an executive officer, he was involved in all facets of the business including formulating company strategy, building the worldwide sales and business development team, directing distribution and reseller relationships and establishing the services organization. Yetton was the lead executive responsible for the business relationship with Microsoft, which ultimately led to the acquisition in July 2006, valued at greater than 17 times previous year's revenue. By then, Yetton helped position Softricity as the leader in application virtualization, with over 240,000 licenses sold to greater than 600 customers worldwide and grow revenue from zero to $16 million.

Prior to Softricity, he served as President of Axis Communications, Inc., a Swedish-based networking technology company, where he established the company's presence in the United States and helped grow revenue from $2.5 million in 1992 to more than $90 million in 1999. As head of the Americas and a member of the senior management team, Yetton was also responsible for global marketing and support. During his time with the company he helped navigate the organization as it expanded from 40 employees to more than 300 worldwide. Axis went public in 1999 on the Stockholm exchange (XSSE: AXIS) and is valued today at greater than $1.5B. Before joining Axis, he held a variety of sales, marketing and sales management positions at Unisys Corporation.

Yetton serves as an independent board advisor to a number of early stage companies, including InstallFree and Satoritech. Yetton holds a B.S. in economics from Norwich University in Northfield, VT.
