Clinton Battersby, Chief Technology Officer
Battersby has over 15 years of experience in LAN, WAN, internet and storage acceleration, and desktop OS and application provisioning, with a proven track record of conceiving, developing and deploying innovative solutions to network performance challenges. He previously founded and was CTO of WWWhoosh, Inc. a leader in Internet content acceleration, and was co-founder of MTI, a manufacturer of industrial data acquisition and control devices. Battersby also held product management and engineering positions at Analog Devices and Thermo Electron Biomedical Group.
Steve Baron, Vice President of Engineering
Baron has 25 years of executive management and software engineering experience. He has led new product development at high-tech businesses including Engage, Red Brick Systems and Digital, in fields such as web applications, distributed computing, database and decision support systems. As VP Engineering at Altaworks, he managed delivery of a system performance analysis solution for multi-tier J2EE applications. As VP Engineering for QuickBuy, Baron guided commercialization of patented e-commerce technology into production Internet service. He has fulfilled technical advisor roles with early-stage companies, such as Steeplechase Networks, AlgoMagic, and FireStar Software. He holds an MBA and BS in Computer Science from SUNY Albany.
Mark Lewandowski, Vice President of Support and Operations
Lewandowski has over 17 years experience building and leading global customer service teams. He joined Desktone from Saba Software, which acquired Centra Software, where he was VP of Worldwide Support. After the acquisition, he assumed responsibility for global support. Lewandowski also held leadership positions at Wildfire Communications (now Orange), a pioneer in speech recognition-based telecommunications systems. He began his career at Viewlogic Systems (now Mentor Graphics), a provider of advanced electronic design system software.
Jeff Fisher, Senior Director of Strategic Development
Fisher is responsible for guiding many elements of Desktone's corporate strategy and is also the moderator of the company's blog Desktops as a Service. He has more than 12 years of experience in the client and desktop virtualization space and has worked for Citrix, Softricity and most recently Microsoft, where he was a lead strategist for the company's Flexible Desktop Computing (FDC) initiative. At Softricity, he was Director of Business Development and helped manage the alliance with Microsoft that ultimately led to Microsoft acquiring the company. He holds a BA from Cornell University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
