Desktone Expands into Europe, Signing SCC to Deliver Desktops as a Service (DaaS^®)

August 5, 2009 – Chelmsford, MA – Desktone, Inc., provider of the first platform that enables hosted virtual desktops as an outsourced subscription service, today announced a new agreement with SCC, part of the SCH Group and Europe's largest independent technology solutions provider, to deliver virtual desktops as a service®. With this agreement, Desktone, which already has partnerships with leading service providers in North America and Japan, expands its reach into the burgeoning European market.

As part of the agreement, SCC will offer cloud-based virtual desktops based on the Desktone Virtual-D Platform™ to commercial and government organizations across Europe.

SCC's DaaS service is expected to launch in the fourth quarter, 2009.
